Networking for People Who Hate Networking by Devora Zack

I picked up Networking for People Who Hate Networking last spring when Lawrence’s Borders store liquidated. I’m finally getting around to it—I need all the help I can get when it comes to networking. I’m already a couple of chapters into it, but it’s not so long that you couldn’t catch up if you’d like to join me.

Mindfire: Big Ideas for Curious Minds by Scott Berkun

Scott Berkun’s latest book Mindfire looks to be a quick read. It’s a collection of essays he’s shared over the past few years on his website. If you’re not familiar with his work, Berkun has studied and written about the creative process for the past several years. I also recommend The Myths of Innovation.

The Cucumber Book: Behavior-Driven Development for Testers and Developers by Matt Wynne and Aslak Hellesøy

Still in beta but just about finished—you can pick up a digital version of the book now from the good folks at Pragmatic Programmers. I’m finally coming around to Behavior-Driven Development in Rails with Cucumber. I’ve got the very basics down but know I can get better at it—especially if I’m going to talk about Cucumber at a small local developers get-together next month.
